Classes of werewolves

There are six classes of known werewolves White, Brown, Black, Grey, Silver, and Red.
Each class its own distinct abilities but all share the same weaknesses.

White Werewolves

The lowest of the classes are completely feral and hold no human personalities. They are most commonly mistaken for normal wolves. All the phases of the moon affect them.

Brown Werewolves

Have been called and are considered the most vicious of the classes. They are ferocious killers. They are also the most known and widely documented throughout history. All phases of the moon affect them.

Black Werewolves

The third of the lower classes it retains some of its human personality. It thinks and stalks its prey. All phases of the moon affect it.

Grey Werewolves

Grey werewolves begin the three higher classes. A Grey werewolf has the ability to lead a pack. It is also only affected by full moons. It is also at a full moon where the Grey wolf becomes a natural predator losing all of its human personality.

Silver Werewolves

The Silver werewolf is the most powerful of the classes(except a red and a Grey during a full moon.) The Silver werewolf is not affected by any phases of the moon. It has full command of its transformations at all times. Silver werewolves are most commonly seen leading packs.

Red Werewolves

The most uncommon of all the classes, one has not been seen in over 800 years. The legends say that it is the offspring of a Vampire and a Werewolf. It has full command of transformations and also holds abilities of Vampires, including flight and the ability to transform to mist. The red Werewolf however is not hindered by blood lust, nor can it be stopped by sunlight.

Weaknesses

All werewolves share a weakness to all weapons made of Silver. Whether it is a dagger, sword, or bullet. It can hurt them but only kill them if it pierces the heart or brain. A werewolf can also be felled by beheading them. Unlike Vampires Werewolves cannot regenerate lost limbs. Werewolf hunters through the years have employed many weapons against them, usually all made of Silver.

Crossing Over

Crossing over or becoming a Werewolf can only be achieved in two ways. First a humans spirit can be bonded to a dead or dying wolf. Or after being attacked and injured by a werewolf (Bitten or Scratch). And the human survives than the werewolf is killed, the spirit of that werewolf will transfer to the last person they attacked. These are the only two ways this can happen. A bite or scratch is not enough to pass on the curse. The most widely used method is spirit transference most often done by a Shaman.

Werewolf Clans or Packs

Werewolf clans normally will stay within highly wooded areas, but with humanity ever changing forest into cities, most brown, black and white wolves have moved into society. While the Grey and Silver try to remain close to forest and woodlands. Although with the ability to control their transformations the Grey and Silver werewolves would blend in very well.
